A trek to Kashmir was not in my plan anytime sooner but with the lockdown that the Delta wave brought, I just had to get on with what I had at hand. The decision to go to Kashmir was made in like a week with my friend making a phone call asking if I'd be... Continue Reading →
The magical encounter with the Sleeping Buddha at Dafey Bhir
The last few months have been tough, given the staggering numbers of the covid-19 cases. We've all been affected by the pandemic one way or the other and if anything, the pandemic has made us realize that in this dog-eat-dog world, it is the people that can help each other in getting through this together.... Kumara Parvata
If you've been trekking in the western ghats, chances are less that you'd not know of Kumara Parvata. Trek to Kumara Parvata is done as a preparatory trek to the Himalayas; not for the altitude but for the climb itself. Yes, it is known for its difficulty. But what hides behind this face of Kumara Parvata is definitely worth exploring. Popular as the third highest peak in the Western Ghats, KP's infamous climb can definitely give you the "high" that you're looking for.

When will you get married?
It’s very weird of me to write a post like this. I wanted to finish up writing up about my recent exciting trek to Goecha La but I decided to write something else for a change. This is a sensitive topic, I understand! If you’re a boy or girl in your mid-twenties now, you’re probably... Continue Reading →
The snowy paradise of Kedarkantha in the Himalayas
“The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences” - Christopher McCandless, Into the Wild As I read Jon Krakauer’s ‘Into the wild’ about the experiences of Christopher McCandless in his book and his new experiences, I am inspired. “Happiness is only real when shared”, Jon writes. I agree. And here, I share happy moments... Continue Reading →
Kudremukha- Eternal lush green in the Western Ghats
I recently went on a trek to the abode of the Gods in the Western Ghats. Hyping the peak you would call it, but Kudremukha was nothing less of this sort for me! Kudremukha, literally translating to “Horse’s Face” for a part of the mountain having this shape is situated in the Mullodi village and... Continue Reading →

“It is the experiences, the memories, the great triumphant joy of living to the fullest extent in which real meaning is found.” ― Jon Krakauer, Into the WildThey say that a taste of something good lingers for so long that it can seldom be forgotten. The taste of a Himalayan trek was such for me. 2-3... Continue Reading →
